On September 21, 2008 seven of CycleUniversity's athletes braved the elements at the Kirkland Triathlon. The race started just after 7am with cloudy skies, wet roads, and temperatures somewhere in the low 50's. All the CycleU tri members were in good spirits, with one common goal, not to crash on the bike leg. I am happy to report that none of us crashed, however not everyone competing was as lucky. One by one, every member of the team crossed the finish line. The day would not have been the same without the support of Nick, Chris, and Roger who came out to support us. Chris's chocolate cupcakes were a great way to finish the day.

The Kirkland Triathlon marked the end of the tri season for the tri team. Of course that only means that the tri team is off to a different form of race. The team is continuing to train together throughout the year, with the focus changing from triathlons to running. Many of the athletes are going to be training for 5K's, half marathons, full marathons and anything in between.
